Centrally located in the valle of Tlacolula, the eastern arm of the great valley of Oaxaca yet only 20 minutes from downtown Oaxaca, Rancho Pitaya offers the perfect balance between spectacular scenery, exotic flora and fascinating cultural and historical destinations. Cactus and agave motifs mirror the vegetation at Rancho Pitaya. The guest suites open directly on to a spacious patio with big vistas of the cacti-studded mountains.

The Sol y la Luna Suite
This suite with northwest exposure is distinguished by the sun and moon theme with original art and traditional textiles from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.
This room can be reserved with one kingsize bed or two twin beds, and comfy cots for kids can easily be added.
The Cactus Suite
This cozy, extra-quiet room features 1940’s serigraph prints by Carlos Merida and rare vintage wooden horses used in ceremonial villages dances. This room is furnished with a queen-size bed and a twin bed
The Girasol Suite
The Girasol suite is bright and airy with sunflowers and lizards in the hand-painted tiles and fused glass. Animal motifs are featured in the original etchings and crafts in this spacious guest room at the south end of the lodge.
This room can be reserved with one kingsize bed or two twin beds, and an extra twin bed can easily be added.
